Hooser Holidays

Four holidays. Four Hoosier playwrights. One Indy Fringe Show. Join us to journey through Halloween, Christmas, Labor Day, and other holidays, from the POV of a mother, a betrayed lover, a failed businessman, and a young girl reliving her past.

Alicia Ana Hernandez-Roulet:
Actor, Playwright: “Mom-ologue, or, How Holidays Happen” -
Alicia Ana Hernandez-Roulet is an Indianapolis based playwright; member of the Indiana Playwrights Circle since 2022 Her works have been produced in several stages across California, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Texas. Playwriting is a medium that has allowed her to understand the world around her and to convey her experience in it. It's about taking the personal and distilling it to the universal. She writes mostly about what she knows – being a gender curious, half-Puerto Rican, chicken-keeping mom.

Lori Herrmann: Co-founder, producer, playwright: “The Loup Garou Revenge Plot”
Hoosier Holidays
LORI HERRMANN has a BA in English from Ball State University. In 2024, her piece The Marriage Contract was chosen for IF Theatre’s Div(x) Fest and was produced as part of the show (Dis)connected during Indy Fringe Festival. ELIZABETH YOUNG-COLLINS: Actor, playwright: “Eve," ELIZABETH YOUNG-COLLINS studied theatre and song at HB Studios in NYC after teaching French and English in a small town in Pennsylvania. While in NYC, she honed her skills and by God’s grace, she became a professional singer/actress at age 40, a historic tour guide at age 50 and at age 60 moved to Indiana where she joined the Indiana Writer’s Center, volunteered for IndyFringe (2017) and performed her first of seven original shows at IndyFringe, the District Theatre and private venues. Last year she joined Tree County Players in Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap in the role of Mrs. Boyle. Despite the distance to Greensburg, Indiana, her friends traveled, and were only disappointed to find she died after the first act :). None of this would have been possible were it not for the community of IndyFringe, Dr. Andy Black and the support of her roadie and love of her life Daniel Collins! Finally, she is excited to join forces with talented playwrights, Lori, Kaitlynn, and Allie.
